Sylvan Park

Sylvan Park is an old neighborhood conveniently located close to downtown Nashville. Criss-crossed by alleyways and numbered streets, there is no morning traffic gridlock. Service stations, convenience stores and some of Nashville's most popular restaurants are located within Sylvan Park's boundaries.

Richland Park boasts a large outdoor play area, picnic tables, tennis courts and a convenient branch of the Nashville Public Library.

McCabe Community Center provides an indoor gym, pooltables, meeting areas and outside little league ballparks.

Some parents say they moved to Sylvan Park just so their children could attend Sylvan Park Paidea Elementary School.

The neighborhood has many older residents who have resided there for 30 years or more, as well as many new residents who moved in for the convenient and quality services. The homes include some of Nashville's finer Victorian-style homes as well as affordable one-story bungalows.

About our association

The SPNA is the collective community voice for addressing Sylvan Park issues such as zoning, security, beautification, metropolitan services and environment. Meetings are the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Senior Renaissance Center of Cohn School, located across from Richland Park on Park Avenue.
