Educational Saving Plans

During the Summer of 2001, Lee Helmers & Mike Schellenberger, Financial Consultants with Hilliard Lyons, established the Education Finance Group of Smart Finance, Ltd.. We did so in order to focus our concentration on helping local families meet specific financial objectives.

From meeting your needs for College Savings, (or local private school tuition) to educating children about the importance of planning and saving --- We address each of your goals with a uniquely tailored plan. Each plan takes into account your exact amount of time for investing and the structure of your family, as well as the projected costs.

Our group was founded because we understand that outside of the purchase of a home, education expenses are now the most significant financial endeavor a family will take during their lifetime. And in fact, over a four-year period, it becomes the greatest short-term expenses that most will ever have. The good news is that with proper planning and putting a plan into action sooner rather than later, these expenses can be easily managed and met without any hardship.
