General Community Information

We are located in Harrisburg, NC on Morehead Road between Hwy 29 and Hwy 49. It is convenient to I-485, I-85 and many attractions such as Concord Mills and Lowes Motorspeedway.

Our community is home to nearly 500 families that enjoy many amenities such as a swimming pool and clubhouse, and a beautiful one mile walking trail along the Rocky River. A playground for children is in the works.

Amenities

The Rocky River meanders along the Northern side of our community. In planning for the neighborhood, the developer created a walking trail, which follows the course of the river. It is a great place for neighbors to get outside and enjoy the serenity of the woods, without having to drive away from home.

The clubhouse, located at the community pool, is available for use by the residents of Rocky River Crossing. There is a nominal charge for use of the clubhouse as well as a security deposit, and as long as guests leave it in the same state in which it was found when the party began, the deposit is returned. Local fire codes allow the clubhouse to hold up to 20 people.

Rocky River Crossing residents enjoy a long season at our community pool. The pool is open for swimming on May 1st and stays open until the first of October! Pool hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Saturday. For those looking for exercise, adults may use the pool from 6:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. for lap swimming. There are aqua aerobics classes offered on Wednesday evening from 8-9PM and Saturday from 8-9AM.

HOA Committees

There are a number of committees that are actively working to improve your community!

Social Committee - This committee initiates, plans and, to a limited degree, coordinates the social activities of the community. The committee also plans and requests funding for its activities during the annual budget process. Currently, regular events include an Easter Egg Hunt, Pool Opening Party, Teen Pool Party, Adult Pool Party, Annual Golf Events, A Fall/Halloween Event, and a "Santa's Workshop" Event. Other projects in the works include family swim events and movie nights at the pool/clubhouse.

Architectural Committee - The purpose of the Architectural Committee is to review applications for exterior architect and landscaping changes from the individual homeowners of Rocky River Crossing. The ACC approves or denies submitted changes by homeowners based on the covenants and guidelines accepted by all of our neighbors when moving into Rocky River Crossing.

Directory Committee - This person is responsible for maintaining the neighborhood directory. The directory is only given out to RRC homeowners of record.
