J. Bulldog is from Westminster, Maryland. L. Bulldog is from Phoenix. We met in the AÖL Prison Camp four years ago. We married at Christmas, here in Phoenix, shortly following our first meeting.

Jeff flew in for the wedding and back out again a couple of days later. We didn't meet up again for two agonizing (ha!) months.

My mom, Peggy Jo, passed on just short of our first anniversary. I think she knew that Jeff was going to be good to me and that we'd be together a long time. She never dreamed I'd find anyone to put up with me! ha!

We have several cats and dogs. They are all mixed breeds. Not all of them are we sure of, ha!

One dog is hairless; a chinese crested. She's a real character. Loves to play ball; any time of the day or night! Her little brother, has all the family hair. We say that he's got ''hippy hair''. We have a large dog; the breed we're still trying to figure it out.

We have two geriatic cats, one has been sick for over a year; he's got some form of cancer. His brother has three legs; due to an automobile accident, I had one hind leg removed. They were both 20 pounders in their youth. People would look at them in amazement at their natural size. The joke was, ''what do you feed those cats?!''.

The remaining kitties are all normal in size and shape.

All the pets get along as well as expected. They each have their favorites to be with and things to do.

Our Family & Friends

In the above picture are some of our best friends. L to R (front) Glo Jean Ayers, Angie (Mike's daughter) and Mike. Back row, L and J Bulldog and Lisa Cheek. This picture was taken in Maryland.It's titled ''Dinner at Lisa's'' It was during J and L Bulldog's first meeting.

L Bulldog already had friends from the Maryland area. She was also meeting a pen/phone pal for the first time as well; that is a cousin of one other in the picture.

Jeff's got family back east. His dad Al, brother Ronald and sister Joyce great family; husband Sam, daughter Nicole and son Sammy. Sammy just graduated from high school. We're all very proud of his accomplishment!

Our Hobbies

L. Bulldog likes tending to her plants around the house. J. Bulldog likes motorcycles and spending time building web pages.

We both have extended our blockwatch to the other neighbors on our block. Encouraging them to get involved in the neighborhood association and helping to make it work.

We unfortunately don't have much participation on our block; thank goodness for the neighbors on the other remaining blocks. These others work hard, long hours and enjoy making a safer, cleaner and better neighborhood in which to live.

Augusta Bulldogs Win an Award!

We won our first award at the City of Phoenix's 12th Annual Neighborhoods That Work awards ceremony.

We were given a beautiful statue and a cash reward. Our friends from Glen Canyon Vista Neighborhood Association stood up with us and also waited afterwards to take the group photo with our Councilman Claude Mattox.

They served a catered buffet dinner and the food was really terrific. I encourage everyone to attend next year even if just to get excited about all the other groups who are working so hard in their own neighborhoods!

One thing's for sure; do to our neighborhood and conjoining neighborhood's diligent efforts we have reduced crime and blight!
