Monthly Meetings

The Women and Children's Advocacy Network (WCAN) holds its monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held at the Wayside Hotel on Broadway. Meetings are held from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

The typical meeting agenda is:

1. Sign in & Introductions
2. Review of previous meeting minutes
3. Guest speaker presentation: Speakers are invited from various community agencies to present information about their programs.
4. Discussion of current agenda items: These items include planning for WCAN-sponsored activities and discussion of community issues that affect women and children experiencing homelessness.
5. Discussion of future items: Discussion of future events on WCAN¡¦s calendar as well as identifying guest speakers to be invited for future meetings
6. Networking and resource sharing: Members have the opportunity to network with each other and share information about community resources and events.
