dues

why are there not any fund raisers going on such as penny sales to help offset dues. $50.00 is alot of money. The only things going on are meetings.

Hey,

If you check the schedule or watch for the announcement board at the entrance youll see we have already had several events to help bring in money. We have had movie nights, a BBQ (which brought in 260$), and a plant swap. The hall is also being rented out by members to bring in some funds We have more coming up and hope to bring in alot at the big clambake at the end of the season. The $50 dues are unfortunately a need and were voted in at the end of last year with no opposition. Considering what many other associations charge its rather low. Please keep an eye out for more event boards at the entrance to the neighborhood and we hope to see you there!

I agree that the dues are too high.  I think we should lower them to $40.  There are people in Rose Point who have given up their membership because of the cost.  We could have a tier structure made up of full paying members at

$40 and associate members at $25.  The assoiates could enjoy all the benifits of membership but would not be allowed to vote.  All fund raising events could be open two both types of membership but non-members would be required to pay an additional $5 over the ticket price.  Why should non-members enjoy most of the same benefits as paying members?
