This March, Criminal Mischief was extremely high just prior to and during Spring Break. Most of the damage that was done, was to vehicles & homes North of Walnut & East of Jupiter as reported by Channel 5 News.

FYI: "AFTER" YOU HAVE CALLED IN A REPORT TO THE GARLANDPD, PLEASE CALL THE CRIME WATCH PHONE LINE AND LEAVE THE DETAILS OF ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR RESIDENCE OR INFORMATION THAT MIGHT BE OF INPORTANCE TO OTHERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

IF YOU CALL IN AND LEAVE THE DETAILS OF YOUR SITUATION...WE CAN GET "YOUR INFORMATION" OUT TO OTHERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BY PHONE AND E-MAIL IN A TIME FRAME THAT COULD PREVENT ADDITIONAL "CRIMINAL" ACTIVITY. "YOU" MAY BE THE ONLY WARNING THAT WE RECEIVE IN ENOUGH TIME TO STOP MORE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, GANG GRAFFITI OR HABITATION BURGLARIES FROM HAPPINING IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

RE: GANG GRAFFITI

** Graffiti Alert **

Unfortunately, Gang Graffiti is showing up in our neighborhood again.

IF "Sur 13","DSL" or "DSL 13" or any other graffiti has been spray painted on your driveway, fence or home, PLEASE report it to the GarlandPD GANG UNIT.

If you have been marked/tagged, it's NOT too late to report it.

FYI: "Sur 13" is a "gang tag" for (South 13) which also goes by the "TAG" of "DSL" (Down South Locos). Only ONE home in the 1700 block of Guildford, reported the "Sur 13" graffiti painted on their fence.

According to the GPD Gang Unit however, there were 5 additional homes along the same alley (in the 1700 & 1800 block of Guildford & Trowbridge) that were also "tagged".

Since last October, according to the Cities Website Online Crime Stat information, has been extremely low... averaging only "1" or "2" per week (or even in a month in some cases) However, just prior to & including Spring Break Week, there were 9 incidences REPORTED in our area in only 10 days.

Good thing for us "to keep in mind" since, Summer Break is NOT that far away.
