Grant Sought for Emergency Beacons

MPNA is currently trying to obtain a grant from the Mobile Police Department/ Department of Justice to purchase Emergency Beacons for our neighborhood. The light bulbs can be used like ordinary bulbs. When the light switch is flipped once, it looks like any other porch light. When the switch is flipped twice, the light bulb flashes to alert police and neighbors of your location and that there is an emergency in the event you cannot reach the telephone.
