A long-haired, orange cat, pretty and well-brushed, was seen in Lee Martinez Park late tonight. He/she was crouched next to the first baseball field to the east of the parking lot at 10pm on Monday, January 5. Clearly well cared for and way out of place.

I saw him trying to follow some other people walking dogs, running behind them for a ways until he hid under the bleachers. He then tried to approach us.. Probably someone's housecat, lost, and hoping some person will help him. My dog ran after it, playfully, and this cat stood his ground on the sidewalk, hissed a little, and then ran back under the bleachers with his tail up and watched us go by. No panic on his part. My guess is this is a cat who is used to a dog. I would have tried to catch it, but my dog was no help and the sidewalks and parking lot are extremely slippery; it would not have gone well. Plus it's a warm night, and I'm hoping for the best for the cat.

I don't have any other information, but please email me if this is your cat and you were able to find it.
