The approximate value of your property is assessed
by your township's assessors office
. This assessment is used to calculate the amount of property tax that you pay each year.
If you do not agree with the assessment of your property, you can appeal
the assessment.
If you decide to appeal your property's assessment, you must submit your appeal within 30 days from the published date (see above) of the assessment.
