Dosker Manor Resident Council

Oral History Project

The Lives of Dosker Manor

The Dosker Manor Resident Council was awarded a $4,000 grant from Metro United Way to conduct an oral history project. Volunteer Juanita White interveiws residents about their lives while former Louisville Metro Housing Authority employee Larry Bailey videotapes the interviews. ElderServe's SIT-UP staff wrote the grant and helps coordinate the project.

Bringing Residents Together

The project is designed to capture the unique histories, life perspectives, and experiences of the elderly and disabled residents who will then be able to connect with each other through the sharing of their stories, and to understand the similarities and differences that each individual brings from the past how this impacts their present.
