One of Chapter 29?’s past Commanders, David Lovell, received a ?“Special Diploma?” awarded by the Government of France for United States Veterans who contributed in the fight to liberate France from the Axis Power in World War two. The France Consulate was quoted as saying ?“The people of France and my Government are delighted to be able to present to you and other New Hampshire veterans this award in recognition of your unselfish action and your effort on behalf of France and free people everywhere?”.
David received his award aboard the Jeanne d?’arc in Boston harbor at a ceremony on December 13, 2001 from the French Consulate. Congratulations Dave that?’s quite an honor.
