Central Avenue Bus Detours Announced

Metro Transit and the city of Minneapolis announced the bus stop detours that will be in effect during the Central Avenue construction project in 2004. During construction stage one, which officials hope will last from April to July, there will be five bus stops located on both the west and east sides of Central Avenue between Lowry and 37th Aves. NE.

During the second construction stage, from July to September, there will be 10 bus stops on the west side and five stops on the east side between Lowry and 37th Aves. NE.

Bus stops on the west side of Central Ave. are for southbound buses and stops on the east side are for northbound buses.
