Great ideas and maybe if we got some of these free riders off the medical benefits we have to pay for, it would save a lot of bucks
What can citizens do to help Pawtucket move ahead in 2011?

Looks like a bunch of savings here and yet the majority of boards and commissions get no compensation. http://www.valleybreeze.com/Free/MAIN-PAW-Pay-for-boards--w-headshots

I really doubt any board and commission members do it or the money. They are mostly interested citizens who look to do the right thing.
I applaud the savings this might bring. It's not going to solve our problem, but if B&C give up their compensation, and we can convince the City Council and School Committee to give up their health benefits, won't that send a signal to all involved that we all need to pitch in in these dire times.

Let us have these discussions to celebrate tolerance and working together much as these stories celebrate togetherness Love MaryB Teacher - A lesson in kindness from a Sewing Sister
