CPW CELEBRATES EARTH DAY

Apr 27, 2006

Spring has definitely leaped into Louisville this year! In celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, Central Park West Association provided new annuals and perennials for Park Avenue's green spaces. Many Thanks to the hands, knees and backs that assisted.

We coordinated our planting efforts with our Annual pre-derby neighborhood cleanup. This year's Spring project: clean the brick walk located across from 1330 S. Sixth. In Judy's words "Oh my, Oh my". Lots of bricks exposed to daylight for the first time in about 4 years. Once again, many thanks to the great efforts of those neighbors able to assist that day.

You may have also noticed the trees in your neighborhood received their annual pruning and mulching thanks to Central Park West funding.

Take a moment in the coming weeks and take a short walking tour of S. Sixth, Park Ave, Floral Terrace and West Ormsby. Enjoy the beautiful brick walkway under the canopy of trees on S. Sixth, the floral display and green space on the west end of Park Ave., the fountain on Floral Terrace and the new trees along W. Ormsby. All provided through the efforts of Central Park West. Have a Great Summer and See you in the Neighborhood! Penny
