Washington Park East Neighborhood Association

Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation

Sep 01, 2000

The INC now has three members appointed as stakeholders on the City's Land Use and Transportation Task Force. They are Jim Zavist, Mike Henry and Dick Bjurstrom. Members of other neighborhood groups that are not affiliated with INC are also on this task force. This group will be meeting over the next year with Fregonese, Calthorpe and Associates, the consultants the City has hired to conduct a land use and. transportation study. This study is an outcome of Denver's new comprehensive plan, and is of great importance to our neighborhood. It will formulate how land is used in Denver, how dense our neighborhoods can become, and how we interface with the transportation corridors now and in the future. We will e able to give input to this process through our INC representative, and there will be a web site on which we can participate. Steve Gordon is coordinating the City's efforts with the consultants; he can e reached at 303/640-4780. Or contact Terry Andrews, your INC representative, via our neighborhood website.
