PREPARING FOR ANOTHER DROUGHT & ELECTIONS ON
MAY 11th MEETING AGENDA

The Washington Park East N.A. will have its final meeting before the summer break on Tuesday, May 11th at 7 PM. The meeting will be held in the North Parlor (upstairs behind the sanctuary) at the Washington Park United Methodist Church at 1955 E. Arizona Street.

Britta Herwig from Parks and Recreation, and Joe Sloan and Donna Pacetti from Denver Water will be speaking. The topics will include an update on Denver water supplies and expected impacts to residents and to parks this coming summer, including the recycled water project, watering restrictions, water levels returning to the lakes and ditch in Washington Park, the south lake lining project, the status of the post recycled water system construction street re-paving, the use of the soccer fields, the future of plantings in the flower beds, and the status of the Lilly Pond.

Most importantly, we will be electing WPENA Board members for 2004-2005. I want to thank the current Board members Bob Shaklee, Lynn Pressnall, Cindy Johnstone, Marilyn Holmes, and Emilie Ailts (not pictured below) who have given so generously of their time and energy this year.
