LCON Minutes - regular monthly meeting Thu 13Mar2008

Metro United Way, 2nd Flr Meeting Room, Preston & Broadway

The meeting began at 6 PM with a light meal from O’Callagans’s. (Thank you Anna) We met and greeted 24 attendees. They included two students from Bellarmine University School of Nursing.

Judy Meadows opened the meeting with a welcome and introductions.

Jack Francis introduced the speakers and had our audio / video ready for our speakers, (Thank you Jack)

Steve Porter spoke briefly about a new organization “OPEN Louisville”.

Dennis Enix with Safe Place gave a presentation on what services Safe Place provides to children ages 12 to 18. There was a touching segment on the children of prison inmates.

Rebecca DeJarnatt spoke about youth services around Louisville Metro and showed the LouisvilleKY.org web site where services can be found.

Meeting adjourned at 8pm.
